The Board consists of one representative from each founding corporate and content partner. The main role of the Board of Governors is to define and direct the mission and the strategy of BDI and regularly oversee BDI activities and operations.

Dr. Saad Hamad Al-Barrak
Dr. Al-Barrak holds a BSc in Electrical Engineering, an MSc in Systems Engineering from Ohio University, and a PhD in Information Systems & Technology Management from the University of London. He is also an alumnus of Harvard University.

Mutlaq H. Al-Morished
Mr. Mutlaq H. Al-Morished is the Vice President of Corporate Finance (CFO) at SABIC. Prior to his present post, he was Vice President of Shared Services, President of SADAF and HADEED, consecutively. In addition, Mr. Al-Morished also sits on the Board / Executive Committees of SABIC R&T, ALBA (Bahrain), Saudi Fund for Development and The Girls’ College in Jubail. He is Chairman of the Board of YANSAB and KAYAN.

Abdullatif Al-Othman
Abdullatif A. Al-Othman is the Senior Vice President of Finance at Saudi Aramco. The Finance Organization covers the Controllers, Treasurers and General Auditing functions. Previously, he was the Vice President of Saudi Aramco Affairs, responsible for Government and Public Relations.

Mohammed Al-Shroogi
Mohammed Al-Shroogi joined Investcorp in 2009 from Citigroup where he was Division Executive for the Middle East and North Africa region and CEO for the United Arab Emirates. Mohammed had a 30 year career with Citigroup in Bahrain, London and the UAE. Amongst his many achievements at Citigroup was establishing Citibank Bahrain as a major trading room between Asia and Europe. He is also Chairman of Citi Islamic Investment Bank.

H.E. Ahmed Humaid Al Tayer
H.E. Ahmed Humaid Al Tayer holds a Bachelors degree from the College of Economics and Political Sciences – Cairo University– 1973. In 1973 H.E. started his career as the Director of Economic Department in the Ministry of Finance & Industry. In 1974 he became Director General and in 1977 he became Assistant Undersecretary.

Khalid Garousha
Khalid Garousha is a Partner in the Dubai office of Allen & Overy LLP. He is an English qualified solicitor and has been practicing law in the Middle East since 2000. Khalid specializes in corporate and corporate finance work and has significant expertise in international and regional transactions in the Middle East.

Ayman Haddad
Ayman is the Heidrick & Struggles Managing Partner of the Middle East and North Africa region. He has over seventeen years experience in strategic planning, management and human resources consulting across Europe and the Middle East. During his consulting career with Accenture and PricewaterhouseCoopers he helped a number of industrial and financial services clients transform their businesses and significantly improve their performance. He led numerous strategic planning and organisational development projects where he advised Board members, CEOs and executive teams.

Warwick Hunt
Warwick Hunt is the Managing Partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Middle East and a member of the PwC Middle East regional board.
He is responsible for the executive leadership of the practice, which includes determining the strategic direction of PwC locally, and managing the Middle East firms’ relationships with other PwC member firms around the globe.

Laurent Nordin
Laurent Nordin joined McKinsey & Company in 1995 in France and became a partner in 2001. He transferred to Dubai in mid-2002 as the second partner in the Middle East Office.
